Using separate chopping boards for raw and ready-to-eat/cooked food can prevent cross-contamination.
Here are some common colour code (it can be different in different restaurants):
Grey /white - dairy products
Green - fruits or vegetables
Brown - vegetables
Red - raw meat
Yellow - cooked meat
Blue - seafood and fish
